When the Columbia County Board of Supervisors meets Wednesday in a special session, members will be considering a draft study that, if approved by the state, will permit the county to proceed with its solid waste management plan.

The board's Solid Waste Committee began the approval process Thursday

night when it approved a resolution declaring that there would be no detrimental environmental effects if the board adopts the draft supplement to the generic environmental impact statement for the county's solid waste management plan.
