SUSAN E. REED.(CAPITAL REGION)

POUGHQUAG -- Susan E. Reed, 48, died January 21, 1997 at her residence. She was born in Troy, NY, the daughter of John and Alma Garahan Kennedy. Mrs. Reed had been working as a programmer at IBM in Poughkeepsie for the last 23 years. At IBM she helped in several charitable contribution campaigns. In the 70's she taught early children's swimming at the YMCA and she also taught Mathematics for one year at Vassar College, Poughkeepsie. More recently, she was a captain and active player for several years on women's tennis teams at the Americana Tennis Club, Hopewell Junction, NY.
